Clinical anatomy Jagiellonian University

Science

Anatomy is the common ground of my scientific, teaching and clinical work. I research, among other things, the variability of facial vessels and relationships important for planning treatments.

Research

Research activity

“Plastic surgery is both an art and a science”

Habilitation

Analysis of facial arterial course variability

The publications concerned the significance of arterial variability for the safety of deep plane facelifts and endoscopic brow lifts.

NCN project

Facial fat compartments

The project provided a better understanding of the mechanisms behind facial changes after significant weight loss, including the role of the SMAS layer. This knowledge can help in choosing the appropriate surgical technique and extent of dissection.

NCN project

Anatomy of vessels used in reconstructive surgery

Vessel variability important for planning reconstructive operations.

Publications

Where I publish

I am the author of scientific publications in journals in the field of plastic surgery and anatomy. Since 2019, I have been running the Surgical Anatomy Students' Research Group.

Foundation

Youthoria is a foundation established in 2022, aimed at helping young and ambitious individuals begin their scientific careers in the field of medical sciences. It provides opportunities to participate and gain experience in research teams, as well as to contribute to the creation of scientific articles.

The main mission of the foundation is to support education, help gain experience, and promote a passion for science.
